The ground rules for using the extension and the credits you buy.

In plain language

  • Formatim is run by Siarhei Zhak, a sole trader in Poland; Paddle is the merchant of record for every purchase.
  • You need a Google account to sign in; you're responsible for what happens under it.
  • Credits are prepaid usage, priced against actual processing cost — they're not a currency, whether bought one-off or delivered by a monthly plan.
  • Don't use Formatim to process content you don't have the right to, or to abuse, scrape, or resell the service.
  • We can suspend accounts that abuse the service; you can stop using it and delete your account at any time.
  • The service is provided as-is, and we're not liable for how you use the documents it produces.

Who you are contracting with

Formatim is operated by Siarhei Zhak, a sole trader (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) registered in the Polish Central Registration and Information on Business (CEIDG), NIP 5213971227, at Al. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Using the service

Formatim is a Chrome extension that turns YouTube caption tracks into structured documents. You need a Google account to sign in, and you're responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the service.

Credits

Processing a video costs credits, priced against the actual cost of the underlying AI processing and shown to you before you commit. New accounts receive a free grant of credits; further credits come with a monthly subscription plan. Credits are not a currency, are not transferable between accounts, are not redeemable for cash, and may expire — expiry terms are shown in your account and at time of purchase.

If a processing job fails on our end, the credits it would have cost are automatically returned to your balance.

Acceptable use

  • Don't use the service to process content you don't have the right to view or transcribe.
  • Don't attempt to circumvent credit limits, reverse-engineer the extension or backend, or automate access outside normal use of the panel.
  • Don't resell access to the service or the documents it generates in bulk without our written permission.
  • Don't use the service in a way that violates YouTube's own Terms of Service.

Your content

You retain all rights to the documents generated from your processing requests. We claim no ownership over them. We process caption text only to generate the output you requested — see the Privacy Policy for details on how it's handled.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Formatim restructures caption text; it does not verify the accuracy of the underlying captions or the source video, and generated documents may contain errors carried over from YouTube's own transcription. The service is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including abusive or fraudulent use. Unused credits on a terminated account are handled per our Refund Policy.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the date above and, where appropriate, notified by email. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer resident in another country, this does not deprive you of the protection of any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country.
